WCHL

The Willmar Christian Hockey League - WCHL is an adult hockey league associated with FCA / Fellowship Of Christian Athletes. 

Mission Statement 

As the WCHL our Mission is to provide a Christian atmosphere for all individuals to participate in adult hockey, fellowship with others, and the opportunity to grow their faith in Jesus Christ.

Games are played at the Willmar Civic Center. Willmar is located in West Central MN 90 miles west of Minneapolis St Paul. Open to all individuals regardless of race, church background or gender. Games are on Sunday evenings starting late October through early March. 

The regular season will start October 26th and runs through March 1st.

Playoffs will start March 8th and wrap up with the Championship on March 22nd.

Jerseys will be provide for this league and will be handed out at the beginning of the season.

Teams will play a total of 18 regular season games and as many as 3 playoff games.

1. DISCIPLESHIP – The opportunity to teach and learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ in a non threatening manner.

 2. FELLOWSHIP – Providing a wholesome environment for men, women, and families to gather and participate in the game of hockey.

 3. RESPECT AND CARE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS – We recognize and understand that each participant has a career and needs to provide for their families. Their livelihood is dependent upon them finishing each game safe and injury free.

 4. GROW THE GAME OF HOCKEY – Participants of the league will be ambassadors of the game of hockey, welcoming players of all experience and skill levels to participate in a non-check adult hockey league that strives for parity and encourages equal playing time.

 5. ACCOUNTABILITY – The league expects each player to be responsible, and hold each other accountable for his/her conduct thus protecting the integrity of the league.

All players must be 15 years of age or older, completed 9^th grade and not be participating in any organized (Junior Gold, JV or High School) non-adult league team. Under special circumstances deemed by the commissioner may allow a player from an organized team to participate on a team. Players under the age of 18 will need to have legal guardian sign waiver forms.
